REPORT NO. WD -85 -84
Public Works staff have been in discussion with Ontario
Hydro Line Distribution and Forestry Personnel and they have
agreed to assist the Town in its Tree Planting Program when
trees must be trimmed or removed to facilitate line
maintenance. For example, the crimson maple planted at the
Newcastle Village O.P.P. Station was sponsored by Ontario
Hydro as a replacement tree.
Town expenditures for tree planting will amount to
approximately $2,200., fifty percent of which is eligible
for subsidy.
Funds will be included in the 1985 budget discussions to
continue with the program.
Respectfully submitted,
T V
R.G. Dupuis, . Eng.,
