Report WD-58-87
REPORT:
In 1962, land was deeded to the former Township of Darlington for
the purpose of road widening on Ormiston Street in the unincorporated
Village of Hampton . It has been brought to our attention through a
real estate transaction that the portion deeded to the Township was not
dedicated by by-law. The portion of Ormiston Street described in
Schedule "A" attached, is presently recognized as road allowance and is
maintained by the municipality.
To the east of the above mentioned property, a further road
widening was acquired, as shown on the attached plan, 1OR1482. As
well, the property is recognized as road allowance and should be
dedicated by by-law.
It is appropriate that the necessary by-law be passed in order that the
abutting land owners have free and uninterupted access to Ormiston Street.
Respect Ily submitt , Recommended for presentation
to the Committee,
avid T. Gray, C.E.T. , `Lawrence Kotseff,
Deputy Director of Public Works. Chief Adm. istrative Officer.

Smale sale to Daize

Further to our telephone discussion of today' s date, we have been
requisitioned by the solicitor for the purchaser with respect to
a bylaw being passed dedicating the lands as a public highway
with respect to a strip of land adjacent to Ormiston Street,
Hampton, Ontario.
Apparently a deed was registered in March of 1962 as Instrument

Darlington for the purposes of road widening.
Would you please provide the writer with details of the said
bylaw, and if there is no bylaw in existence, would you please
advise when said bylaw will be passed.
We look forward to hearing from you as this transaction is
scheduled to be complet on February 27, 1987.
We look forward to ari from you and we remain,
Yours very truly,
OUIS S. ALLOR
