SUBJECT: SUBMISSION OF THE WORKS DEPARTMENT
FIVE YEAR CAPITAL BUDGET TO THE
DURHAM REGION WORKS DEPARTMENT
FOR INFORMATION AND REFERENCE.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and,
2. That a copy of the Town' s Five Year Capital Budget for

Works Department Projects be forwarded to the Durham
Region Works Department for information and reference.
REPORT:
As part of this year' s budget discussion , it was suggested
that the Town submit its Five Year Public Works Capital
Program to the Durham Public Works Department for their
consideration in preparing the Region's budgets for sewer
and water services.

Similarly, during the Region ' s budget discussions a similar
suggestion was made. In fact, the Region's Works Department
has since corresponded with the Town and advised of their
desire to have input as to our five year program. It is,
therefore, appropriate to provide such information to the
Region 's Works Department, Attention: Mr. W.A. Twelvetrees,
Commissioner.
