SUBJECT: TRANSFER TO M.T.C. OF A PORTION OF THE
ORIGINAL HUNT STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY IN
LOT 11, OF THE BROKEN FRONT CONCESSION,
FORMER TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
(SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and,
2. That it be resolved as follows:
"That the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle approve
the transfer to the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications, Part 5 on Plan P-2695-140";
3. That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded
to Mr. Bert Torini of the Ministry of Transportation
and Communications.

REPORT:
Report WD-39-85, attached hereto, dealt with the above
matter, however, M.T.C. in their request neglected to
request Town approval with respect to Part 5. They are now
requesting such approval and since the details are identical
to those described in Report WD-39-85, such approval is
appropriate.

ORIGINAL HUNT STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY IN
LOT 11 OF THE BROKEN FRONT CONCESSION,
FORMER TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and,
2. That it be resolved as follows:
"That the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle approve
of the transfer to the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications, Parts 1 to 4 on Plan P-2695-140 and
Parts 5 and 6 on Plan P-2695-127"; and,
3. That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded
to Mr. Bert Torini of the Ministry of Transportation
and Communications.

REPORT NO. WD-39-85
REPORT:
A request has recently been received from M.T.C. for a
resolution as noted above. The lands in question are
circled on the attached plan and formed part of the
intersection of the originally laid out Hunt Street road
allowance, south of Highway 401, and the C.N.R. spur to the
Goodyear Plant. From a review of the assessment maps, it
has been determined that the Hunt Street Road allowance in
this area has been closed and is in fact under ownership of
the C.N.R. C.N.R. has provided the attached quit claim to
M.T.C. relinquishing their interest in the subject lands.
The Town 's concurrence with this approach is part of the
formal process followed by M.T.C. in such matters,
therefore, it is recommended that the requested resolution
be passed.

Dear Mr. Oakes:
This is further to my letter of May 6, 1985, requesting
a resolution from Town Council approving the transfer of parts 1
to 4 on Plan P-2695-140 to our Ministry. I have recently received
your letter of June 11, 1985, providing us with a resolution
covering these parts.
It has now been brought to my attention that we also require
Part 5 on P-2695-140 (copy attached) . This is part of an unopened
lane between Duke and Hunt Streets. Therefore, we require a
council resolution that also approves the transfer of Part 5 to
our Ministry.
