2. That the attached draft street name by-law be presented to Council for
its consideration at the next regular Council Meeting.

REPORT:
At the Council Meeting of September 23, 1985, Council approved the Street
Name Map, Schedule "A", and the Street Name Inventory, Schedule "B" as
presented on the attached draft Street Name By-law.
To date, several requests have been received from the public to change the
approved street names as follows (see attached maps for reference) :

Request 1 is simply a request to designate Firner as a street instead of

an Avenue. j
Request # 2 is simply a request to alter spelling of Rudell .
Request # 3 is a request to include Watson Drive which was inadvertently
not included previously.
Request # 4 was brought forth by a local resident indicating that he and his
neighbours had referred to their street as North Station Street
for many years.

Request # 5 came from the Cedar Crest Beach Association in a letter dated
June 10, 1986.
Request # 6 carne with a story about the existence, many years ago, of a
hotel called the Kurve Inn on the road in question.
Request # 7 is a request to include McKnight Road which was not included j
previously and had been considered a logical extension to

Hancock Road south of Baseline Road.
Request # 8, 9 & 10 are items not included previously.
i
Staff concur with the above mentioned requests.
i
The Committee may wish to consider these requests and direct that Schedule
"A" and "B" of the attached draft bylaw be altered to reflect some or all of
the requested changes prior to the passing of the by-law.
