The building at 63 has asphalt paper and strapping on the exterior walls and appears to be in the process of having siding installed. A building permit is not required for the installation of siding: Number 55 (Feather property) is being restored to a safe condition as a result of a property standards complaint. A permit was issued in 1986 for work at number 43. The old dance hall appears to have had a new metal roof installed but no work was evident that required a permit. At number 36 it appeared to be having some plumbing done and the owner attended this office for a permit before we contacted him. Other than the foregoing, there was no building activity in the area requiring permits. H. G. Wight Chief Building Inspector Ch) HGW*db TOWN OF NEWCASTLE (MEMORANDUM TO: T. T.
