APPLICANT: 703052 ONTARIO LIMITED
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-240-87 be received; and
2. THAT the City of Oshawa be advised that the Town of Newcastle has no objection to
the amendment to Zoning By-law No. 3415, submitted by 703052 Ontario Limited to
permit a Plan of Subdivision 18T-87026 which was approved by Council on May 25,
1987 through Report PD-143-87; and
3. THAT a copy of this Report be forwarded to 'the City of Oshawa Planning Department.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
On September 4, 1987, the Planning Department received a copy of a Notice of Public
Meeting to amend Zoning By-law No. 3415 of the City of Oshawa, submitted by 703052 Ontario
Limited to permit implementation of a draft Plan of Subdivision within Part Lot 1, Broken
Front Concession. The subject site is adjacent to the westerly limits of the Town of
Newcastle and north of Highway No. 401.

The proposal would permit twenty (20) semi-detached lots, twenty-eight (28)
single family detached lots, and a block of twelve (12) townhouses. Staff
would note for the Committee's information that Council reviewed the
proposed Plan of Subdivision and was approved at the meeting of May 27,
1987.
Accordingly, Staff would offer no objection to the amendment to City of
Oshawa Zoning By-law No. 3415.
