THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY -LAW NO. 82- 86
being a By -law to appoint a Property Standards Officer
WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
has enacted By -law No. 82 -63 entitled "being a by -law to prescribe standards
for the maintenance and occupancy of property within the Town of Newcastle",
pursuant to the provisions of Section 36 of The Planning Act and;
WHEREAS Section 4.1 of By -law Number 82 -63 requires that the Town of
Newcastle enact a By -law appointing a Property Standards Officer;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The person appointed by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle from time to time as the Chief Building Official, pursuant to
the provisions of the Ontario Building Code Act 1974, Statutes of Ontario,
Chapter 74, is hereby appointed to act as the Property Standards Officer.
2. The person appointed by the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle from
time to time as the Director of Planning is hereby appointed to act
as the Property Standards Officer when the office of the Chief Building
Official is unable to carry out the duties of the Property Standards
Officer through illness, absence or otherwise.
