A By -law to authorize payment of a Pension to Harvey 5,Britton
pursuant to the Municipal Act. H.S.O. 1960 c. 249, section 21+0
Sub sect. 1.
WHEREAS Harvey G. Britton was an employee and Manager of the
kewcastle Hydro - Electric Commission and the Newcastle Public
Utilities Commission for 29 years continually preceeding his
retirement by reason of his advanced years.
WHEREAS it is desireable to recognize his long and faithful
service to the Village.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Village
of Newcastle enacts as follows.;
1. Harvey Britton shall receive an annual retirement
allowance of 21+00.00, payable in monthly instalments
of $ 200.00 each, and the said monthly payments shall
terminate upon the date of the death of the said Harvey
. Britton.
2. The payments under the provisions of this by -law will be
made by the Treasurer of the Corporation from the funds
of the Corporation.
3. The Public Utilities Commission of the Village of Newcastle-
has agreed to contribute one hundred per cent of this ' allo -
ante.
