A by —law to authorize the provision
of municipal and school tax credits
for the assistance of elderly persons.
VEIEREAS The ;',Municipal and School Tax Credit
Assistance Act, 1967, authorizes local municipalities
to provide for municipal and school tax credits or
refunds for the assistance of elderly persons.
-AffD WHEREA6 the Council wishes to Drovide
such credits or refunds.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation
of the Village of Newcastle enacts as follows:

TNT the Treasurer is authorized and directed to allow
credits or refunds of municipal taxes in the maximum
amount and to the persons specified in subsection 1 of
section 2 of the Municipal and School Tax Credit
Assistance Act, 1967.
AND THAT applicants for credit are required to produce
documents of title, such as a conveyance, a mortgage or

an agreement for sale, so that the Registered instrument
Number or the Parcel Number may be copied directly onto
the Notice of Lien.
