to appoint a Fire Chief.
VJHEFEAS the Municipal Act; R. S. 0. 1960 Chapter 249
Section 377, para. 58authorizes ttie appointing of such Officers
and Servasts as may be necessary for the purposes of the
Corpotation and Section 379 (1) of the same Act authorizes
the appointment of Fire Fighters,
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Village
of Newcastle enacts as follows:
That Frederick Glanville be hereby appointed to the Office
of Chief of the Newcastle Fire Department and the provisions
of this By-Law are deemed to have been in effect from and
including June 26, 1967,
And That the remuneration for this appointment will be
fixed by Resolution of Council from time to time.
All by-laws at variance with this bylaw are hereby repealed.
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD time and finally passed
this,L2 day of 1967
