THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF NEWCASTLE
A By-Law to fix the days of the
nomination and polling.
WHEREAS Section 44 (1) and (2) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1960,
Chapter 249, authorizes Council to fix the days of nomination and
polling and the time and place of the Nomination Xeeting.
NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Corporation of the Village of
Newcastle ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1® That the day for the meeting for electors for the nomination of
candidates shall be the Thursday preceding the last Thursday in
November.
2. That the nomination meeting shall take place in the Council
Chambers at 8 otclock in the afternoon,
3. That the polling day be the first Monday in December.
4. That the polls shall be open at every polling place at 10 o'clock
in the forenoon and shall be kept open until 7 o'clock in the
afternoon of the same day.
By-Law No. 67-22 is hereby repealed.
