being a by -law to appoint a
salaried officer.
WHEREAS Sections 215 (1) and (2), 218 (1), 225 (1)
of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1960, chapter 249, authorizes
Councils of all Municipalities to appoint a Clerk- Treasurer
and Collector.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Village of Newcastle enacts as follows:
That Mrs. Jean McCullough be appointed to the positions
of Clerk - Treasurer and Tax Collector for the period of one
year commencing January first, nineteen hundred and seventy,
or until a successor be appointed, at a salary of x$4,000.00
per annum and a car allowance of $500.00 per annum.
That the said Mrs. Jean McCullough shall perform the
duties of her office according to the By -laws of the Village
of Newcastle and the Revised Statutes and or amendments of
the Province of Ontario.
