BY -.LAW NO. 72 -14
a by -law to amend by -law 785 with
regard to building permit fees
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to revise the Building
By -Law, Section B, regarding permit.fees.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Village of Newcastle enacts that Section B of By -Law
Number 785 be amended as follows:
1. On all commercial, industrial and residential
properties for new buildings, re- erection of old
buildings, accessory buildings, garages and
alterations and (or) additions to existing
buildings, the fee shall be:
(a) A set fee of $3.00 for each permit
(b) Estimated cost of work to be done up to $200.00......$3.00
(c) From $200.00 to $1,000.00...........$3.00 plus permit fee
(d) From $1,000.00 to $10,000.00........$10.00 plus permit fee
(e) From $107000.00 to $30,000.00.......$25.00 *lus permit fee
(f) From $30,000.00 and up ........ $25.00 plus .500 for each
$1,000 in excess of $30,000 plus
the permit fee
This By -Law becomes effective on January lst, 1973.
