BY -LAW 73 -9
being a by -law to appoint
a salaried officer.
WHEREAS Sections 205 (1) and (2), 218 (1) and
226 {1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284,
4utDrizes Councils of all Municipalities to appoint a
Clerk - Treasurer and Collector,
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of
the Village of Newcastle enacts as follows:
THAT Mrs. Gertrude Gray be appointed to the
positions of Clerk - Treasurer and Tax Collector for the
remaimbr of the year nineteen hundred and seventy three,
at a salary of $7,500. per annum.
THAT the said Mrs. Gertrude Gray shall perform
the duties of her office according to the By -laws of the
Village of Newcastle and the Revised Statutes and or
amendments of the Province of Ontario.
