BY-LAW NO. 71-22
Being a by-law to provide for the
participation of the Village of
Newcastle Fire Department in County
Mutual Aid.
WHEREAS The Municipal Act authorizes the councils
of all municipalities to enter into agreements with other
municipalities for the use of firefighting equipment or any
of it:
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of
the Villa ge of Newcastle ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
11 That the Village of Newcastle Fire Department be
authorized to leave the limits of the municipality or fire
area, at the discretion of the Chief and under the direction
of the Co-Ordinator of the Northumberland & Durham Mutual
Aid Fire System to respond to calls for assistance from other
municipal fire departments authorized to participate in the
Northumberland and Durham County Mutual Aid System or any
other County Mutual Aid System on a reciprocal aid basis.
2. In case the provisions of this by-law conflicts
with the provisions of any other by-law, the provisions of
this by-law shall prevail.
3. By-Law No. 691 is hereby repealed,
