THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
BY -LAW NUMBER 73 -62
Being a By -Law to authorize the sale of lands
to Bowmanville Warehousing Limited.
WHEREAS by By -Law 68 -10 passed on the 9th day
of April, 1968, by vote in excess of three - fourths:
of all the members of the Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Bowmanvllb (hereinafter called "the
Town "), the Town did authorize the purchase of certain_ lands
in Township lots 8 and 9 in the lst Concession for the
establishment ofindustry.
AND WHEREAS by By -law 72 -35 passed on the 8th
day of August, 1972, the Town did authorize the sale
of a certain parcel of said lands situate in lot 8
in the lst Concession to Bomanville Warehousing Limited
for the establishment of industry and also granted to
Bowmanville Warehousing Limited an option to purchase
certain additional and adjacent lands for a period of
one year subject to the erection of a building by
Bowmanville Warehousing Limited for the carrying on
of its business operations.
AND WHEREAS Bowmanville Warehousing Limited
has constructed a building suitable for the carrying on
of its business operation to the satisfaction of the
Town and has duly given the Town notice of its exercising
the option to purchase the said adjacent lands pursuant
to a memorandum of option between the Town and Bowmanville
Warehousing Limited dated the 24th: --.day of October, 1972.
NOW THEREFORE the Council for the Corporation of
the Town of Bowmanville, pursuant to the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, Section 343 (1), Paragraph 50,
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. That the Town do sell and convey to Bowmanville
Warehousing Limited a parcel of land containing 0.702 acres
being adjacent to the lands originally purchased and having
106 feet frontage on the east side of Mearns Avenue, more
particularly described in Schedule "A" attached hereto and
shown outlined in red on a Plan of Survey made by M. D. Brown
and dated August 30th, 1972 which is attached hereto as.
Schedule "B ".

2. That the purchase price for the said
property shall be $2,457.00.
3. That upon payment of the said purchase
price the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized
to execute the said deed in favour of Bowmanville
Warehousing Limited and impress the corporate seal
theeon.
