TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
By -Law No. 72 -36
Being a by -law to amend By -Law No. 1955 to
authorise the participation of Members of
Council in the Ontario Municipal Employees
Retirement System
WHEREAS by By -Law No. 1955 passed on the 17th day of January, 1966,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville elected to
participate in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System as
of the first day of September, 1965,
NOW THEREFOR be it enacted as a by -law of the Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanville that By -Law No. 1955 be amended by the addition
of the following clauses.
6. That Members of Council be included in the Ontario Municipal
Employees Retirement System with retroactive service from
September lst, 1965.
7. That the whole of the contributions for past and future service
of Members of Council be paid by the Corporation.
Read a first and second time and f inally passed this 8th day of August, 1972.
