BY -LAW NO. 7 2- `J-2— "
A By -law to authorize the acquiring of land
for the purpose of sites for the establish-
ment of industry in the Town of Bowmanville.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Bowmanville is desirous of acquiring lands in the Town of
Bowmanville for the purpose of sites for the establishment of
industry.
AND WHEREAS by Offer to Sell, dated the 31st day of
October, 1972, Robert Louis Stevens, has agreed to sell'to the
Town of Bowmanville some 23.33 acres of land being part 9f
original Township lot number 8 in the lst Concession of the
Town of Bowmanville, more particularly described in Schedule
"A" attached hereto, for the price therein set out.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanville, pursuant to The Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1970, Chapter 284, Section 354 (1), Paragraph 50, HEREBY ENACTS
as follows:
1. That the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
do accept the said Offer to Sell of Robert Louis Stevens dated
the 31st day of October,1972, and acquire the said 23.33 acres
of land, more particularly described in Schedule `rA" hereto
for the purposeeof sites for the establishment of.industry.
2. That the purchase price be $3,000,00 per acre, or
$69,990.00 payable in accordance with the terms of the said
Offer to Sell.
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby author-
ized to do all acts and sign all documents necessary to effect
the purchase of the said lands.
READ a first and second time this day of November, 1972.
READ a third time and finally passed this ' ' `day of November, 1972.
