By -Law No. 72 -5
To amend By -Law No. 69 -6, being a by -law to authorize
the construction of a water filtration plant
WHEREAS By -Law No. 69 -6 authorized the construction of a water filtration
plant at an estimated cost of $450,000;
AND WHEREAS tender bids for the construction of said plant in 1969 were
far in excess of $450,000;
AND WHEREAS the estimated cost of construction is now $1,000,000;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
hereby enacts as follows:
1. That Section (1) of By -Law No. 69 -6, be amended by deleting the figure
of $450,000 and substituting the figure of $1,000,000.
2. That this by -law shall not take effect until it receives the approval of
the Ontario Municipal Board pursuant to Section 64 of the Ontario
Municipal Board Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 323, and amendments thereto.
