A by-law to authorize the provision of
municipal and school tax credits for
the assistance of elderly persons.
VTHEREAS The Municipal and School Tax Credit
Assistance Act authorizes local municipalities to provide for
municipal and school tax credits for the assistance of
elderly persons;
AND I-VHEREAS the Council wishes to provide such credits;
NOTIT THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Bo-wmanville hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the treasurer is authorized and directed to allow
credits or refunds of municipal taxes in the maximum amount
and to the persons specified in subsection 1 of section 2
of The Municipal and School Tax Credit Assistance Act.
2. That upon application for the first time in respect to each

property, the applicati-e-a is required to produce documents

of title, such as a conveyance, a mortgage or an agreement
for sale, so that the Registered Instrument Number or the
Parcel Number may be copied directly onto the Notice of
Lien.
