By -law No. 67-37
A by -lava to provide for the submission
of proposed By -law No. 67 -36 to the
electors for assent.
114-HEREAS Council has given first and second readings
to By -law No. 67 -36, being a by -latni to repeal By -law No. 1252
being a by -law to establish a Public utilities Commission for
the purpose of managing the waterworks system and By -law 1491,
a by -law to provide for placing the management of the sewerage
system under the Public utilities Commission;
AND WHEREAS the assent of the electors is required
before the final passing of By -law No. 67 -36;
N04 T ,REPORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanville, pursuant to the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1960, Chapter 24.9, Section 257, hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That proposed By -law No. 67 -36 be now submitted for the
assent of the electors at the next municipal elections.
2. That the ballot shall be composed as follows:
"Voting on By -law to vest the control and management of
the waterworks system and the control and management of
the sewerage system in the Corporation of the Town of
B owmanvill e. "
3. That the votes of the electors shall be taken on the same
date, at the same times and places as the municipal
elections to be held on the 4th day of December, 1967.
4. A true copy or synopsis of proposed By -law 67 -36 shall be
published in the Canadian Statesman on the 15th, 22nd
and 29th days of November, 1967.

5. On the 30th day of November, 1967 at the office of the
Clerk in the Town Hall at the hour of 4:00 p.m. in the
afternoon, the Mayor will attend and if requested so to
do, appoint in writing signed by him, two persons to attend
at the final summing up of the votes by the Clerk and one
person to attend at each polling place on behalf of persons
interested in and desirous of promoting in the affirmative
on the said by-law,_, and a like number of persons interested
in and desirous of promoting in the negative on the said

by-law,.-,
6. The 5th day of December, 1967, at the Clerks office at
4:00 p.m. in the afternoon is hereby appointed as the
time and place for the summing up by the Clerk of the
number of votes given in the affirmative and in the
negative respectively.
