By-law 67-40
A by-law to fix the first meeting of
Council after an election.
T -HE
N REAS it is considered not to be convenient for
the first meeting of Council, after an election to be held on
the day and at the time provided for by Statute;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of tim
Town of Bowmanville, pursuant to Section 184 of The Plunicipal
Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 249, hereby ENACTS AS FOLLO'v'V's:
1. That the first meeting of the new council after an election
shall be held on the first Monday in January at 8:00
o'clock in the afternoon,provided that where such day is
a holiday, not on such day but on the following day.
HEAB a first, second and third time and finally passed this
day of 1967.
