A by --law to authorize the construction
of certain works as Local improvements
under The Local Improvement Act.
UF11,13REAS Council by Resolution -',C-131 passed unanimously at
their meeting held on the 4th day of March, 1968 declared it desirable
to construct certain works as set forth in Schedule 11 ass and "BRIT
attached hereto, as Local Improvements;

the work pursuant to Section 3 of The Local 9
Chapter 223;

works as required by Section 40 of The Local Improvement _sets

1-. That the Reports obtained by Council in connection with the
set forth in Schedule and Schedule "B" attached hereto, be and
thesarie,are hereby approved and adopted.

That the works set forth in Schedule xr FS and "BIT attached hereto
shall be constructed on the streets between the points as therein
mentioned as Local improvements under the provisions of The Local
Improvement Act.
3. That the Public Utilities Commission of the Town of Bowmanville
do forthwith arrange for plans, profiles and specifications and
furnish l
such information as may be necessary for the ma -ma -wing of a
contract for the execution of the work.
4. That the work shall be carried on and executed under the supervision
and according to the direction and order of such Public Utilities
Commission.
5. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to cause a contract for the
construction of the work to be made and entered into with some
person or persons, firm, or corporation, subject to the approval of

this Council to be declared by resolution.
6. That the special assessment for each of the said worlIks shall be paid
in twenty instalments.
7. That any person v,ihose lot is specially assessed may commute for a
payment in cash, the special rates imposed thereon by paying the
portion of the cost of construction assessed upon such lot,, without
the interest, forthwith after the special assessment roll has been
certified by the Clerk.
