TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
BY -LAW NO. 68 -19
Being a By -law to authorize the construction of
a sanitary sewer and watermain extension on
Simpson Avenue, south from the Base Line Road.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
deemed it expedient and necessary in the interest of industrial development in
the Town of Bowmanville to construct a sanitary sewer and watermain on Simpson
Avenue, southerly from the Base Line Road;
AND WHEREAS the work was carried out at the same time as other works
were being constructed in 1963 as authorized by By -law No. 1833 finally passed
on the 30th day of October, 1962;
AND WHEREAS Council did not obtain the approval of the Ontario Munici-
pal Board pursuant to Section 379 (1) Paragraph 52 of The Municipal Act before
undertaking the said works;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville did petition the
Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario for approval to pass a By -law
authorizing the said works;
AND 14HMAS the Legislative Assembly did grant the prayer of the petition
and did pass an Act entitled The Town of Bowmanville Act, 1968;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the construction of a sanitary sewer and watermain as follows:

at a total cost of $20,040.91 be and is hereby authorized.
2. That all acts and signing of documents as were necessary in connection with
the making of contracts and other matters for the completion of the said under-
takings be and are hereby authorized.
READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this --3 day of
1968.
