By -Law No. 69-
A by -law to amend By -Law No. 1909, being a
by -law to regulate and govern Hawkers and
Pedlars.
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville, HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Clause 2 of By -Law No. 1909 be rescinded and a new Clause 2 be enacted
to read as follows:
2. The fees to be paid for such licence shall depend on the type of goods
to be sold and shall vary as between persons who have resided
continuously within the Town of Bowmanville for a period of one year
preceding the application for the licence (hereinafter called "residents")
and persons who have not so resided (hereinafter called "non- residentsP1).
The fees shall be as follows:
Goods to be sold under licence:
1. Green groceries, grocers fruits, vegetables
and similar goods.
2. Potato chips, fish & chips, and popcorn
when sold from a hand cart.
3. Goods sold from refreshment vehicles
including potato chips, fish and chips and
popcorn when sold from vehicle
For First Vehicle
For Each Additional Vehicle Of Same Person
4. Jewellery, watches and similar goods
5. Hardware, kitchenware and similar goods
6. Musical Instruments
7. Electrical equipment and appliances
8. Christmas trees, other than those being
sold by non - profit, charitable and welfare
organizations
9. Clothing, menfs wear and ladies wear
10. Greeting cards and calendars, other than
those being sold by non - profit, charitable
and welfare organizations
11. Magazines, books and similar goods
