HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-33THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE By -Law No. 70 -33 A by -law to authorize the granting of aid for an auditorium WHEREAS the Northumberland and Durham County Board of Education has requested the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville to grant aid for the erection of an auditorium be constructedtin thelTownsofell as students in a new secondary chool to Bowmanville; AND WHEREAS there is a need for auditorium facilities in the Town of Bowmanville; NOW THEREFORE pursuant to The Municipal Act, R.S.O., Chapter 249, Section 377, paragraph 69, the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville grant aid in the sum of $100,000.00 to the Northumberland and Durham County Board of Education for the erection of a 564 seat auditorium for use b d the the public and students in the new secondary school Town of Bowmanville. 2. That the Mayor and the Clerk be and are hereby authorized to do all acts and sign all documents and affix the corporate seal of the Townthereto as may be necessary in connection with the said grant and any agreements between the Board of Education and the Town. 3. This by -law shall not take effect until it receives the approval of The Ontario Municipal Board under Section 64 (1) of The Ontario Municipal. Board Act. READ a first and second time this 6th days of July, 1970.
