By-Law No. 7
A by-lau, to authorize the construction of
a 16" feeder main on Queen's Avenue, Queen
Street and Division Street.
WHEREAS the Public Utilities Commission has requested the construction
of a 16" water feeder main on Queens Avenue, Queen Street and Division Street
and;
WHEREAS the Public Utilities Commission has requested that the cost
of f said water feeder main be met out of Reserve Funds and;
WHEREAS Council is of the opinion that the said construction is
desirable;
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bow.manville
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a 16" water feeder main be constructed as follows:
Street
Queens Avenue
Queen Street
Division Street
From
Approximately 180, South Of
Queen Street
Queens Avenue
Queen Street
at an estimated cost c_-F' $49,000.
To
Queen Street
Division Street
Elevated Storage Tank
(Approximately 1101
West Of Church Street.)
2. That the Engineer of the Corporation do forthT,,,ith make such plans, profiles
and specifications and furnish such information as may be necessary for the
making of a contract for the execution of the work.
3. That the work shall be carried on and executed under the superintendence
and according to the directions and orders of such Engineer.
4. That the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to cause a contract for the
construction of the work to be made and entered into with some person
or persons, firm or corporation, subject to the approval of this Council
to be declared by resolution.
5. That the Treasurer may (subject to the approval of the Council) arrange
for temporary advances of money to meet the cost of the,work pending the
completion of it.
6. That +the cost of the undertaking be met out of Reserve Funds.
