THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF BOWMANQILLE
BY -LAW NO. 2000
Being a by -law to appoint a Fire
Chief pursuant to Section 379 (25)
of The Municipal Act.
WHEREAS Thomas Lyle was appointed Fire Chief by resolution
of Council and WHEREAS Council deems it expedient to confirm this
appointment by by -law.
AND WHEREAS the authority to make such an appointment is
vested in Council by the aforementioned statute.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS ENACTED as a by -law of the Corporation
of the Town of Bowmanville AS FOLLOWS:
1. The appointment of Thomas Lyle as Fire Chief of the Town
of Bowmanville is hereby confirmed and he shall have all the powers
and duties of the Fire Chief as provided under the Municipal Act,
and every other act, and under every by -law and resolution of the
Town of Bowmanville.
2. This appointment may be revoked at any time at the pleasure
of Council.
3. Any by -laws or resolutions of the Town of Bowmanville
referring to the Chief Engineer of the Fire Department are to be
construed as referring to the Fire Chief.
