BY -LAW Number 1993
Being a By -Law to authorize the sale of lands to
Burley Bus Lines Limited for the establishment of
industry.
WHEREAS by By -Law #1957 passed by a vote in excess of three - fourths
of all the members of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville, The Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville did authorize
the purchase of the hereinafter described lands and other lands
situate in original Township Lot #9, in the Broken Front Concession
now within the limits of the Town of Bowmanville.
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville has agreed
to sell three acres of the said lands to Burley Bus Lines Limited
for the establishment of an industry. -
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
pursuant to Section 379 (1) Paragraph 49 of the Municipal Act,
HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. That The Corporatinn of the Town of Bowmanville do sell and
convey to Burley Bus Lines Limited for the establishment of
industry, three acres of land being part of Block 13 accord-
ing to the Smart Estbte Plan and having 250 feet frontage on
the Baseline by 522.72 feet running southerly along the east
side of Smart Avenue.
2. That the purchase price shall be $4500.00.
3. That the Purchaser shall construct on the said lands, a building
suitable to carry on its business, within one year from September
30th, 1966, Provided that its failure to construct the said build-
ing within the specified time, shall result in the said lands
reverting to the Town of Bowmanville with the Purchaser forfeiting
all purchase moves paid and Further Providedthat the Purchaser
will agree to exeucte a re- conveyance of the said lands in the
event of its failure to construct the said building; AND Further
pfovided that an acknowledgment confirming that the said building
has been constructed signed by the Mayor and the Clerk of The
Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville, with the Corporate seal
of the Municipality attached shall be good and.sufficient evidence
that the covenants and restrictions have beeneWlied with and
that the title of the Burley Bus Lines Limited is absolute.
4. That the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute
a conveyance of the said lands and impress the Corporate Seal
thereon, on behalf of the Town of Bowmanville.
