THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
BY -LAW NO. 1992
A By -law to amend By -law No. 1784, being
a by -law for the regulation of traffic.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville passed
By -law No. 1784 on the 8th day of December, 1960 for regulating
traffic on the streets and highways in the Town of Bowmanville;
AND WHEREAS By -law No. 1784 has been amended by By -laws
numbered 1850 passed on the 3rd day of July, 1962, 1893 passed on
the 4th day of November, 1963 and amended by By -law No. 1898 passed
the 20th day of January, 1964, and 1935 passed on the 3rd day of
Nay, 1965, all of which have been duly approved by the Ontario
Department of Transport;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to further amend the said
Traffic By -law No. 1784;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Bowmanville HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. That Schedule "A" of By -law No. 1784 be amended by adding:
Street From To
Wellington Street (both sides) Temperance Street Liberty Street
King Street (south side)
East limit of land A point 45 feet
owned by the Royal west
Canadian Legion,
Branch 178 described
as Lot 3, lock "U",
109 King Street East.
2. That Schedule "J" of By -law No. 1784 be amended by adding:
Street From To Direction
Beech Avenue Concession Street Lowe Street South
3. This by -law shall not become effective until approved by
the Department of Transport, nor shall any particular provisions
thereof become effective until sign or signs applicable to such
particular provisions has or have been erected and is or are on
display.

October, 1966.
