A BY -LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF 7.2 ACRES OF
LAND IN TOWNSHIP LOT 10, IN A BROKEN FROM CONCESSION.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Bowmanville is desirous of purchasing 7.2 acres of land more or
less, being part of Township lot 10 in the Broken Front Concession
in the Town of Bowmanville for the purpose of a site for the estab-
lishment of industry in the Town of Bowmanville.
AND WHEREAS William Lycett, the owner of the said
lands has indicated that he will convey them to the Corporation of
the Town of Bowmanville for the purchase price hereinafter set out.
P AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanville has in its budget for the 196+ provided fts
sufficient funds for purchasing the said lands at the price herein-
after set out.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to The Municipal Act R.S.O.
1960, Chapter 249, Section 379 (1) Paragraph 49, the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville shall purchase
from William Lewis Lycett 7.2 acres more or less of land in Lot 10
in the Broken Front Concession in the Town of Bowmanville for the
purpose of a site for the establishment of industry in the Town of
Bowmanville.
2. The purchase price shall be $1500.00 per acre or a total
purchase price of $10,800.00 to be paid upon completion of the
purchase during the year 1964.
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be hereby authorized to sign an
offer to purchase the said lands at the said price and take such further
steps as may be necessary to complete the purchase.
4. This by -law is subject to the approval of the Department of
Municipal Affairs of the Province of Ontario.

Read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
day of June 1964.
