Part One
1. That the assessment made and concluded in the last preceding
year, to wit, 0 2283,435.00 (residential �:D5 ,128 o 440XO JI -
industrial, ,x20154,995.00) is hereb`i adopted by the Council . .
of the Town of Bowmanville for the year 1959 as the assessment
on which the rate of taxation for the y,c.ir 1959 shall be levied.
2: That the tax of the Town of Bow- manville''for the y ear. 1.959 for
..:... .... .. -. i
the purposes mentioned in Part 2 of this By -law, but not
including pocal improvement rates or other special rates
collected as taxes, shall, be: residential 68.85 mills on the,
dollar, industrial 73.0 mills - on' the dollar and shall be levied,
- raised and collected from all ,assessed value of Beal and ,Personal
' Property, taxable and liable to pay the same.
3. That the several sums or rates so to be ' 1 evied and ' coll e ct ed
shall be payable' by . the persons liable therefor, at the Tax
Collector's Office in the Torn Hall of the Town of Bofmanvill e
in four equal installments, which shall be paid on or before
th.e. following dates:
J st Installment April: 24th 1959
2nd Installment
July 15th 1959

4. Than an addition of of 1% penalty shat h be made on any inst -

5• That any ratepayer may pay all of these installments on or

will be allowed:

6. That it shal l ' be lawful for the Treasurer of the Corporat ion ' of
the Town of Bowma nvi�lle to pay, 'arid he is hereby uthorized' to

to time available . for such purpose', and several grants, rates
and payments specified in the schedules of the Estimated Expend-
itures of the Corporation for the year 1959 as shown in Part 2
and. being "ESTII4ATES, TOWN OF B0,;& ANVILL'E, 1959".
7. That the Estimated Revenues as shown on Schedule "An attached
hereto and forming part of this By -law be, and are hereby approved
confirmed and used for the purpose of determining the tax ..rate
for the Town of Bowmanville, . for the Fiscal year ending December
313t, 1959, in conjunction. with several appropriations set out in
Part 2 of this By -law.
