A Byealaaw of the Corporation of the Town or Bowmanville to aphorize the
construction of certkin •vorks as Local Improvements under the Local
Improvement Act*
petitions have been received. by the Council for the
construction as Local Improvements for the works set forth in Schedule
M A hereto annexed and the Clerk has certified that the petitions are
suffieiently signed, and it is expedient to grant the prayer, of the
petitions in the wanner herewith provided.
AND WHEREAS the Council has procured reports in regard to the works

as required by Section 38 of the 'Local Improvement Act,
VOW TH �1; EFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of tho Town
of Bowmanvrille enacts, as follows ; -

That the report procured by the Council in connection with the

are herby approved and adopted*

Third; -
That the Engineer of the`- CorporatL on do f o thwith make plans , . profile s

and specifications and furnish such information as may be * neea�ssary
for the making of a contract for the execution of the work.
Fourth,
That the work shall 'be carried On. and executed under the supertision
and according to the direction and order of such engineer*
Fifth;,-
That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to cause a contract for the
construction of the work to be made and entered into with some
person or persons , f Irma or corporation, subject to ' the approval of
this Council to be declared by - resolution.
That the Treasurer may, subject to the approval of Council, agree
with any dank or person,, for the temporary advances of money to
meet the cost of the work pending the completion of it.

That the special assessment.. for each of the said works shall be
paid by the number of .instalAents as, ,so t, forth in Column of: the
said Schedule " A "
That the debentures to be issued for the loan to be effected el

Ninth;-
That any person whose lot is specially assessed may commute for a
payment in cask the special rates imposed thereon by paying the
portion of the cost of construction assessed upon such 10t, without
he interest forthwith after the special assessment roll Me been
' certified by the Clerk and at any time thereafter by the payment of
such + sums as when invested at Three per cent per annum will provide
an annuity sufficient to pay the special rates for the unexpired
portion of the term as they fall due.
