Attendance- Joanne, Alvina, Larry, Cathy, Corinne, Laurie, Peter Lockhardt (new member)
Missing - Walter, Carson, Corinna, Mark
AGENDA:
Sandwich meetings-- We liked how it went. Corinne motioned, Alvina-second and Everyone agreed
that these meetings were a fun refreshing change and gave us LOTS of help at sandwich time, and lots
input into hall stuff. We just need to have one person write stuff down time.
EMAIL: Mark says he cannot make it to meetings no matter which day as his traveling so much.
Corinna, says she goes away lots in summer especially. But if she receives minutes all ok.
Walter says fine with him too.
We officially welcomed + voted in Peter Lockhardt onto our board. Larry motioned, Joanne- Seconc
Bookings-- all fine - Joanne all caught up with payments.
Dutch Dinner -just caught up. Need lots of volunteers
Finances - Joanne worked on stuff for town and sent it on Friday.
Dances - Alvina bought stamp pad and ink for entry to keep track of numbers + $
- Discussed how we need to all be held accountable for $ at dances.
- Need to talk more about ways to do it.
V- day-- Success- about 80 stopped by some from Tyrone some from dances, and some saw poster.
only sold . 14 bottles of beer and a few glasses of wine, but lots of coffee. Coffee a success
thanks to Mary -Anne who donated it. NEXt year we will mix chocolate Fixes WITH desserts,
and NOT prepare so many desserts ahead of time. Also make Less desserts- 20?
Joanne said we broke even after expenses. Used left over chocolate and crackers for dance.
This is fine as we wanted a community event NOT forfundraising, so in future do we need to
advertise so wide?
Windfall - Church has asked if we would like wine/beer glasses that they were given. we claimed wine
glasses, Corinne motioned we rent glasses out at our events. Consensus of $30 flat fee.
Renters must clean after. Alvina second.
Spirit Day -Move to August - Alvina motioned. Joanne second. Alvina offered to head it up. Lots of
country ideas. Turd contest, orphan sock contest and biggest bum?? (Corinne's brainchild)
Auction -After the huge success of Cathy's xmas auction decided to try another at the Dutch Dinner
(our biggest audence) Cathy offered to head it up again. Cathy motioned Laurie -second
Seniors — Heat was left on 65% all night after senior's cards. Need to ask Walter to remind them..
