Application No. 5-65 was tabled for further consideration: at a future meeting of this Committee when a plan of survey by an O.L.S. has been submitted. The Committeethen considered the question of the porosity tests generally and the matter having been discussed by the' Secretary with the Darlington Committee of Adjustment to determine policy in the area, it was decided that, as a . matter of policy, porosity tests would only be requested where an inspection of the property indicated a problem might exist. In addition to an inspection of the property, the opinion of the O.L.S. preparing the survey would be sought as he would be familiar with grade lines and general soil conditions. It was felt that such a policy would adequately protect the public interests while minimizing the work load on the Northumberland -Durham ?wealth Unit. The Secretary was instructed to service the Committeets consent on Application No. 6-65 in accordance with The Planning Act and amendments thereto. The Committee having visited the property with regard to Application No. 7-65 and having satisfied themselves on the configuration of the lot, the contour of the land to be severed, and having viewed the types of building in the area, unanimously agreed to grant the severance. It was so moved by K. Schoenmaker, seconded by H. E. Walkey. Carried. The Secretary was instructed to service Applic• 0 Tdo. 7-65 in the usual manner.
