Application File 164-69 Walter Yarema Owner
Application File 165-69
166-69- Mr. Nick Yarema Owner,
R.R. 41, NewL-onville, Ontario.
There were three applications made by this applicant and
this decision takes all three into consideration. Multiple
severances are frowned upon but two of these three severances
are in the nature of correction lines and concern the squaring
off of the pror.erty and are not, therefore, regarded as individual
severances in the fullest sense of that word.
The. Committee, as a matter of policy, customarily grant
any application, the primary purpose of which is to correct
surveying errors, re -locates fence lines in their proper place,
straightens lot lines or squares off lots etc.
The first two applications were disposed of on the basis
that they fell within the exceptions recited above.
The third application is a "real" severance and was viewed by
the Committee as an application by an.agriculturalist to sell
a portion of his farm and keep the remainder.
The Committee noted that neither the applicant or his agent
appeared at the meeting of March 11, 1969.
The Committee were of the opinion that if the applicant is
willing to swear and file an Affidavit that he will retain the
north end of the farm for agricultural purposes for a minimum
period of 5 years, they would be prepared to consent to the pro-
posed division of land.
These matters were adjourned to the next meeting to be held
on March 18, 1969 with permission to the applicant to speak to the
matter.
The Secretary was instructed to advise Messrs. Walter and
Nick Yarema of the meeting to be held on March 18, 1969, requesting
their presence so that these applications may be finalized.
