construction of certain,works -as Local Improvements under the Local

IYEEREAS. petition has been received by the Council for the construction as

ocal,Improtement of the works set forth in Schedule It
end the Clerk has certified that the petition is sufficiently signed and it
is expedient to grant the prayer of the petition in the manner herewith
provided;
AND WHEREAS the 'Council has procured reports in regard to the works as
required by Section 38 of the Racal Improvement Act
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville enacts as follows;
First;

That the report procured by t he -Council in connection with the work

set forth in Schedule A, hereto attached, be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted*
Second;
That the work set forth, in, 'Schedule A hereto attached shall, be
constructed on the street between th e points as therein went ioned as
Local Im, p rovements under the provisions of the Local Improvement Act*
Third;
That the Lzgineer of the Corporation do forthwith'nake such plans,

Fourth;
That thr work shall be carried on and executed under the supervision
and acarding to the direction and orders of such &ngineer,
Fifth
That the Ylayor and Clerk are ;iuthroized, to cause a contract for the
construction of the work to be made and entered Into with some person'
or persons firm or corporation, subject to the approval of this
Council to be declared by resolution*
Sixth;
That the Treasurer may, subject to the approvalof the Council agree
with any Bank pr per son, for the temporary advances of money .to meet
the cost, of the w6rk, pending the completion of it

Seventh;,
That the special assessment for each of said work shall be paid by the number of installments as set forth in Column 6 of,thesaid Schedule A
Eighth;
That the debentures to be issued for the loan to be affected to pay

for the cost of each of said works when completed shall bear interest
at such rate as ,the Council may determine and be made .,payable.on the

xhat any person whose lot is specially assessed may commute for a

payment In cash the special rates imposed thereon by paying the portV n
of the cost of construction assessed upon such lot$ without the interest
forthwith, after the special assessment roll has been certified by the

Clerk, and at any time hhereafter by the payment of such sum as when
invested at Three per cent per annum will provide an annuity sufficient
to pay the special rates for the unexp ired portion of the term as they
fall due.
