Meeting of the Newcastle Community Hall Board
on March 16 2010 at 7 pm in the Council Chambers.

MINUTES
1.1 Motion by G. Robinson, seconded by L. Franssen
That minutes of February 2010 be accepted as circulated. "Carried"
BUSINESS ARISING
2.1 Crack in auditorium ceiling has been boarded over and painted to blend in as per
Mike Williams of Operations Dept. Repairs to leak will be done in near future.
2.2 Downstairs kitchen stove secretary has shopped around—industrial stove is far
too costly in the neighbourhood of$4000.00. Agreed by all that we will invest in
residential stove— stainless steel with coils.
2.3 Limited parking of 2 hours sign has been removed.
FINANCIAL REPORT
3.1 Motion by C. Trim, seconded by L. Franssen
That financial report is accepted as presented. "Carried"
BILLS
4.1 Motion by G. Robinson, seconded by L. Franssen
That bills for supervision $250.00 to S. Fogg be paid as presented.

5.1 Report will be copied to Operations Dept.
NEW BUSINESS
6.1 Discussed BIA plan to have tours leave hall frontage on June 26 from 10 —4 and
use of gazebo from 11 -2. Board felt our priority is to the wedding booked over a
year ago. Secretary to contact Jane Black of the BIA and let her know board is
unable to give permission for use of gazebo and tours leaving from building on
June 26 due to our prior commitment.
6.2 Discussed promoting hall for funeral receptions. Secretary to contact Joan Anyan
for information.
