Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following is a report of the meeting of the Planning and Development Committee
held on Thursday, November 22, 1979:
1. D. Welsh - One Foot Reserve
The Committee concurred with the recommendation in the Planner's report relative
to the Welsh conveyance to the Town of a one foot reserve, part of lot 8, Conc. 4,
former Township of Darlington, File LD 312/79 as follows: "return the undertaking
to the applicant's solicitor and indicate to him that the Town will not require
the requested one foot reserve and, as Resolution #C-1570-79, gave the Committee
power to act, Mr. Welsh was so advised.
2. Brooking Rezoning Z -A-2-6-3
It was recommended to Council that relative to Brooking rezoning Z -A-2-6-3,
part lot 10, Conc. 2 Bowmanville, that:
1. The amending by-law be forwarded to Council for first and second readings (By-law 79-
137)
2. Staff be authorized to negotiate a Development Agreement, as described in
Section 35(a) of The Planning Act, with the applicant;
3.The said Development Agreement be signed by the applicant and the Town of
Newcastle prior to the third reading of the by-law.
3. Subdivision 18T-19720 - Romney Mead
It was recommended to Council that the Town of Newcastle hereby requests the Minister
of Housing to extend the draft plan approval of subdivision 18T-19720 to December 31,
1980.
4. Subdivision 18T-24002 - Oakland Developments
It was recommended to Council that the Town of Newcastle hereby requests the Minister
of Housing to extend the draft plan approval of Subdivision 18T-24002 to January 25,
1981.
5. Rezoning Z -A-1-2-5 - Bennett
It was recommended to Council that application for rezoning Z -A-1-2-5, part lot 23,
Concession B.F., Darlington, (Bennett) be approved and the amending by-law be forwarded
to Council for consideration. (By-law 79-138).
6. Meeting of December 10,1979
It was recommended to Council that the meeting scheduled for Monday, December 10th
be rescheduled for Thursday, December 20th, 1979 at 9:30 a.m. in the Bell Building.
