Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following recommendation to Council was made at a meeting of the
Planning and Development Committee held on March 30, 1979:
Newcastle Village Urban Area Plan
That the Proposed Plan for the Urban area of Newcastle Village as presented
by the Director of Planning and Development be received for information and
public input be sought at Public Meetings to be held in the Village of
Newcastle; the plan be printed on newsprint and distributed to every house-
hold in the Village; the first meeting for information purposes only
(Plan to be explained to the Public and Public requested to prepare written
submissions and/or briefs to be discussed in two weeks), second meeting to
discuss written submissions and/or briefs arising out of the first meeting;
meetings to be arranged by the Town Manager and the Planning Staff.
