HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-162Report No. 162
This application was received from the Region on June 119 1974.
The applicant requested an amendment of the Darlington Official Plan
to permit commercial and residential development on a 153 acre site
in lot 359 Concession I and II, Darlington. Since part of the site
fell within the Courtice Concept Elan Study Area, Staff report number
89 recommended that this report be considered premature until the
plan had been finalized. This recommendation was adopted by the
Planning Adviscry Committee, Town Council and Regional Council.
However, this decision by Regional Council was not interpreted
to be a final rejection, but rather a statement that the proposal was
premature at this time. For this reason, the proposal was circulated
to various agencies for their comments, The Regional Planning Depart-
ment heard of this circulation and sent a letter to this Department
on August 89 1975 stating that they consider the application denied
and the subject file closed until such time as a new application has
been submitted.
For this reason we have closed our file on the above mentioned
application and will take no further action on it unless otherwise
instructed.
Respectfully submitted,
George F. Howden,
Planning Director.
