REPORT ON TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR
NEWTON I LE STUDY
At its meeting of April 149 19759 the Committee approved
awarding this project to Municipal Planning Consultants subject
to revision of the terms of reference to include a preliminary
feasibility study and addition of a section incorporating the
necessary related servicing studies. Revised terms of reference
have been received and reviewed by staff and their approval is
recommended. Engineering work will be done by Cumming -Cockburn
Associates.
In addition9 I would recommend that -
(a) O.H.A.P. be approached regarding possible subsidy of the
project.
(b) that the Regional Works Department be invited to name a
representative to sit on the steering committee.
(c) that the Regional Works Department be approached regarding
payment of the cost of studying services under Regional
jurisdiction.
