HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-116REPORT NO, 1.16 ZONING JPPLICATION FOR OLD BUS STATION,BOWMANVILLE I have examined the attached Consultant's Report No. 10 and concur with its recommendations, with the following three small modifications. I would recommend that, 1. The number of parking spaces which the developer provides off the site should not exceed 1/3 of the parking required for commercial uses. 2, Since the use of parking space in the downtown area is not functionally tied to any particular property, the alternative Spaces should be acceptable if located anywhere within the proposed Downtown Commercial zone, 3, This developer, and most others who wish to develop in the downtown area in the future, will probably not be able to provide all their required parking space on their own lands, so I feel that they should have the option of providing to the Town a cash contribution in lieu of up to 1/3 of the required parking spaces for commercial uses. With the above modifications, I would recommend that Consultant's Report No. 10 be approved as a basis for rezoning the site, and the applicant be requested to submit revised plans in accordance therewith.
