REPORT ON REVISED TOURIST CAMP BY-LAW:
I have reviewed in detail the proposed Tourist Camp By-law and
am recommending that it be approved subject to the amendments listed
below.
1. Add the following new Section 4(4) and renumber accordingly:
(4) SITE PLAN REQUIRED
Every application for a license to establish, operate or
enlarge a tourist camp shall be accompanied by 10 copies of
a plan drawn to scale, properly dimensioned and showing the
following:
(a) location and area of the lands to be used for the
tourist camp;
(b) location of waterbodies, watercourses, drainage ditches
and wooded areas;
(c) location and size of all existing buildings, structures
and roads;
(d) location and size of all proposed camp lots, buildings,
structures, recreational facilities, landscaped open
spaces, planting strips, driveways, parking areas, and
pedestrian walkways.
No plan shall be required in the case of an application to
continue to operate a tourist camp which has previously been
licensed under the provisions of this by-law, provided that
no change has been made to the location, number, or extent
of any feature shown or required to be shown on the plan
accompanying the previous license application.
2. ADD the following to Section 5(1):
In addition no building, structure, or camp lot shall be
constructed , located or used on any land which, in the
opinion of the Conservation Authority having jurisdiction,
is subject to flooding or any other natural hazard.

3. ADD the following new Section 5(2) and renumber accordingly:
(2) LAND USE
No land forming part of any tourist camp shall be used
for any purpose other than the purpose indicated on the
most recent plan accompanying an application for a lic-
ense issued under the provisions of this by-law.
4. ADD the following words to Section 5(14):
"not forming part of any camp lot".
5. Change the number 4 in Section 5(21) to 18.
6. ADD the following words to the first sentence of Section
5(26):
"containing more than 40 camp lots".
7. ADD the following new Section 6(3) and renumber accordingly:
(�) OCCUPANCY OF LOTS
Every operator shall ensure that no camp lot is used or
occupied by any vehicle or structure other than a motor
vehicle tourist trailer, tourist vehicle, or tent, and
that no such lot is used or occupied by more than one
such tourist trailer, tourist vehicle or tent at any
time. Every operator shall also ensure that no sleeping
accommodation of any form is provided or permitted to be
provided except upon a camp lot as defined in this by-law.
8. Change Section 7(2) to read .......a fine of not less than
one Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and not more than Five Hundred
Dollars ($'x500.00).
