HomeMy WebLinkAboutPW Memo 83-76J 2 MEMORANDUM 1183 November 29, 1976 TO: Mr. B. Tink, Chairman of the Public Works Committee FROM: J. Dunham, Director of Public Works SUBJECT: Part of Lot 33, Concession 3 (former Darlington) The attached correspondence is self-explanatory whereby there appears to be discrepancy in property lines. In our search, there is no evidence of expropriation on Nash Road or Tooley Road in the past six years. As proposed by Mr. Starzynski representing a client, would the Town of Newcastle be willing to quit claim four feet of land to the Chatten property, reason being that existing property bars show four corner stone pillars on Town property. The present status of this road allowance is forced and as per By-law 2111, this road is designated as improved. I would not recommend that a quit claim be granted for the suggested four feet and the writer be so notified. In the present needs study, this section is deficient with a high priority rating, therefore, in the near future reconstruction will be recommended at which time the entire right-of-way will be required.
