RE: By-law for the Collection of Garbage
In December 1974, by-law 74-88 amended by-law 1966
and 1984 for the collection of garbage.
At this time, I see the need by way of a by-law for
additional changes; for example, under the present
by-law anyone can, if requested, and for $3.00
per call, have an extra pick-up. This amount is
for residential; commercial is $6.00 per call.
These amounts require up -dating for the following
reasons: distance to the dump site, cost per ton
for disposal, increase in operating costs, etc.,
I, therefore, would recommend that rather than
further amendments to the existing, that a
complete new by-law be prepared.
