HomeMy WebLinkAboutEngineering Memo 61-76MEMORANDUM#61 TO: Bruce Tink, Chairman of the Public {Yorks Committee FROM: John Ferguson, C.E.T., Engineering Department TOPIC: Townhouse Development - Lawrence Crescent, Bowmanville Toad Hall Equities DATE: August 16, 1976 The above-mentioned townhouse development is presently in the final stage of construction with only very minor work remaining to be completed. As stated in the agreement between the developer (Toad Hall Equities) and the Town, the developer must erect a four (4) foot high chain link fence along the portions of the property which abut residential and commercial properties. The developer is willing to complete this work in the near future. The people who purchased the units in this development are presently setting up their Board of Directors and would prefer a four (4) foot high privacy board fence along the north and south limits of the development. They also want a retaining wall approximately three (3) feet in height constructed along the south portion of the development and then the fence erected on the retaining wall. The developer therefore requested that instead of erecting the chain link fence in the near future,' that the monies for the supplying and installation of the chain link fence be placed in trust at this time in favour of the Board of Directors of the development. The Board of Directors would then pay the difference in cost for the privacy fence and the retaining wall. This would require relief from the Site Plan Agreement. I would appreciate your comments on this matter. l
