SUBJECT: Administration of the Bowmanville Cemetery
DATE: July 23, 1976
Resolution #W-164-76 requested that the above-
mentioned subject be referred to the Chairman of
the. Works Committee, the Clerk and the Director
of Public Works to report at the next Public Works
Committee meeting.
On July 22nd, 1976, we met in the Clerk's office
and the following is recommended in considering
the best method of administering the operation
within the Cemetery. That the Cemetery
administration be transferred to the Community
Services Committee effective October lst, 1976;
being prior to the 1977 budget, and the Secretary
of the Community Services Committee being the
liaison between the Cemetery Manager and the
Committee.
It is felt that since all records, accounting, etc.,
are being carried out in the Town Hall and being`
the most logical location geographically, that the
entire operation should be conducted from the same
office in order not to confuse anyone, especially
the Cemetery Manager.
