Subject; Technical Co-ordinating Committee Meeting. Selection of a Consultant for the Traf.fii.c. Operations Study. Resolution V TC -10-77. A summary of the presentations made by Consultants to the Technical Co-ordinating Committee., at the: Meeting of December 6, 1977, is as followso- 1.13.1. Groin_ Mr. R. Andrew McNa17_y,& Mr _ Alistair Baillie. Cost: Completion: $14,000. April, 1978. Marshall, Mr. L, Thnr Eklund, Mr. H.N. E.damura & Macklin, Mr. Jeff M. Mark. Cost: $12 - 16,000 Completion: August, 1978. De Leuw Mr. John F. Ashwood. Cather' _.—..---- _.-- Cost: $4 - 6,000. Completion: 12 - 16 weeks. Totten, Sims, Mr. David L. Babbs. Cosi:: $6,.500 - $8,500 Completion: 4 - 6 months. The Committee individually made their selections using a "Consultant Evaluation" sheet, as prepared and supplied by the. Ministry of Transportations & Communications' Mr. Ian Brett. Owing to the fact that, after each Member had made known their selection and preference, it was found that the two firms of De Leuw Cather and Totten, Sims, Hubicki were almost equally favoured, the: Chairman requested a 'show of hands', by which method Tenon, Sams, Hubicki & Associates rp2u',.ted 1n hero} the final. selection of the Members. IC .aus "uLcd thatthe selected Consultant had done a great deal of rc.senrch into the matter of the Traffic Operations - z - Study and, as they are already undertaking various works for the. MunicipaJ.ity, and are therefore completely familiar with the area and the requirements of the 'down, that they wouLd provide the optimum results. Following the selection, RPSOTULion # TC -10-77 was passed, as C& Lows, and is recomwended for adoption. THAT this Committee recommends to Council that Totten, Sims, Hubi.cki S Associates Limited he appointed as Consultants for the Traffic Operations Study.
